Purpose

Coggle is a cloud-based mind-mapping and visual knowledge management tool designed to facilitate structured idea organisation, project planning, and collaborative learning. Its primary purpose is to help students, researchers, and educators visually represent relationships between concepts, tasks, and academic content, enabling clearer understanding and retention of complex information.

For students, Coggle provides a platform to create interactive mind maps for assignments, research projects, and group work, allowing them to connect ideas, track relationships, and structure content in an intuitive and visually accessible format. By supporting hierarchical and networked representations, Coggle enables learners to organise their thoughts, synthesise information, and develop critical thinking skills.

The platform is particularly useful for postgraduate and master’s-level students engaged in research, literature reviews, or interdisciplinary projects, as it allows for dynamic organisation of information and collaborative knowledge-building, reducing cognitive overload while enhancing clarity and comprehension.
